YBBGroup1.jpgThe industry’s brightest young things turned out in droves to kick off the inaugural Young Bright & Broke event down at the waterfront premises of Marvel Grill down at Wynyard Quarter in Auckland last night.

YBB, a collection of young people all working within the communications industry (left) has been established by CAANZ to engage, inspire, and challenge the young talent of the communications industry.

kevin1.jpgAPN’s Todd McLeay opened the evening by speaking about the realities of leading within the industry, and the joy that comes from seeing your creativity come to fruition. Kevin Roberts (left, with Hugo Winter) Global CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi, followed with his presentation of industry insights to a fresh-faced and bushy-tailed crowd of two hundred young professionals and grads, encouraging their openness to let any idea fly.

All the young, bright & broke’uns left the launch charged with four goals to pursue in their careers; responsibility, learning, recognition and joy. They were told the value of nurturing creativity, that even the freshest new-comer has a right to be inspired at work.
