Director Gary John joins Waitemata Films
Waitemata Films has announced that Gary John (left), another stellar director will join their their successful roster.
Says Johnny Blick, EP: “We are thrilled Gary has joined us. There’s no doubt he’s a talented filmmaker. With performance, comedy and a filmic sensibility, he’s the perfect fit for Waitemata and the type of work we enjoy making.”
Says John: “Mike and I had talked about starting a bowls team, so joining him at Waitemata seemed like the first logical step. That and I was also attracted to their work-focused philosophy and Johnny’s plans for the future. Their t-shirts are pretty cool too.”
John’s online content commissioned by Air New Zealand featuring David Hasselhoff is an excellent example of where the market is heading. It’s an arm of the business Waitemata are nurturing with another 4 online content jobs currently in production.
John also joins Waitemata’s Sydney based partners, Brilliant Films for Australian representation.
