There’s no beating DraftFCB’s meat as PaknSave radio campaign takes out October ORCA Award
To celebrate PaknSave’s Meat Lovers’ Week, DraftFCB cooked up a promotional treat. Adam Taylor, Antony Bell, Peter Vegas and Kelly Lovelock encouraged audiences to call and chat to meaty characters like Charlie Chop and Patty Burger.
Audiences loved the idea (10,000 called for a chat) and judges loved the creative, awarding it October’s ORCA: “Never have meat packs caused so much interest (outside of the RSA)”, says the judges, namely Lachlan McPherson (Publicis Mojo), Damon O’Leary (Sugar&Partners), Tony Bradbourne and Rob Jack (both Special Group).
The guys now go through to the Grande ORCAs to compete for the Cannes Lions trip and cash prizes. They also host the ORCA trophy for a month and receive $500, certificates and a $5,000 radio schedule for PaknSave.
With a growing number of promo-creative entries, TRB will award two Grande ORCAs (and two Cannes Lions prizes) next year, one for straight spot creative and one for promo-creative.
