Red Cross passes the parcel in a new spot for the Red Cross Annual Appeal via Y&R New Zealand
Y&R New Zealand has created a new spot for the Red Cross Annual Appeal – appropriately enough, with a little help from across the globe.
The spot links the work done by Red Cross providing crisis relief around the globe, with the lesser-known ‘individual crises’ they help solve in NZ and encourages New Zealanders to end one themselves, by donating.
Y&R New Zealand wrote the spot, which was brought to life by leading New York animation house Blacklist and directing team Holbrooks, with Antfood Studios providing the distinctive soundtrack.
Creative team Cameron Dowsett and Mark Tallis couldn’t be happier with the results:
Says Dowsett and Tallis: “In a category where every spot needs to stand out, it was great to create something that really feels distinctive and get the support of such quality partners to bring it to life.”
Says Scott Henderson, Y&R NZ creative director: “Every dollar of our budget has ended up on screen. We’re incredibly grateful for the effort of our production partners – and the imagination and trust of our client team – in making this spot a reality.”
The campaign is running across TV, radio and mobile channels throughout the appeal period, with collectors hitting the streets throughout the week.
