Matt Simpkins and Rupert Hancock appointed in creative director roles at Ogilvy & Mather NZ
Ogilvy & Mather New Zealand ECD Angus Hennah has announced that ex-DDB Sydney CD, Rupert Hancock (right) and ex-DraftFCB CD, Matt Simpkins (left) have joined full-time as creative directors.
Says Hennah: “Matt has been freelancing with us for a while now and apart from having the second best beard in the industry, he’s a top bloke with a sharp mind who enjoys a craft beer or six. Rupert on the other hand has no hair but comes with a ton of digital know-how and has the ability to make big accounts look beautiful – you just need to see the work he did on Telstra while across the ditch. I’m looking forward to the both of them making their mark here and helping the NZ office contribute to the Ogilvy network’s global dominance of Cannes over the next decade.”
