News Works awards DraftFCB’s Prime TV ad + DDB Group’s ad for VW Special Mentions – DDB Group NZ moves to top of Agency League table
Two ads were given Special Mention this morning, earning their agencies one point each on the Agency League table. DraftFCB’s Prime TV ’60 Minutes: Jimmy Spithill Interview’ ad, and DDB’s VW
‘Amarok’ all received Special Mentions.
This moves both DDB to the top of the table, with DraftFCB now on two points.
The judges commented that the Prime TV ad “had a bit of humour, was topical and a good use of newspaper and twink”, and DDB’s VW ad was “a flip on the old T&C’s. Good way of listing car benefits in a fresh way”.
Judges were Tom Paine – Y&R, Kevin Bachtiar – DDB, and Jonathan McMahon – Whybin\TBWA.
Any ad that’s run in any newspaper in New Zealand is eligible to enter the competition. To enter your ad for next month, go to agencyleague.co.nz/enter.
