Val Morgan will send two Young Lion teams, each consisting of two people, to showcase their talent on the world stage at the most prestigious advertising award festival.

One team will compete in the Media Young Lions competition and one team in the Film competition.

The prize for the winners, which includes travel, accommodation and festival registration, is a once in a lifetime opportunity for New Zealand’s best young talent to mix and compete with the best minds in the advertising and communication business globally.

The teams that go on to represent New Zealand will be decided by a local competition that mirrors the challenge to be faced by the Young Lions in Cannes. A brief will be delivered for a response time for 24 hours for the Media teams and the film teams will have 48 hours to respond with a filmed commercial.

Says Suzie Lamborn, sales director of Val Morgan NZ: ‘We are very excited to be holding two Young Lions competitions this year.  It is an incredible opportunity for the best young minds in our media and creative industries to win to compete on the world stage at Cannes against their global peers at the Young Lions competition.”

Young advertising professionals in creative agencies and media agencies who would like to enter are invited to register their interest with Val Morgan by 6th March by going to www.valmorgan.co.nz/cannes.

The 61st Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity takes place from 15th – 21st June.
