Pond’s Angela Inglis breaks toe on discarded Axis Award – sells award to pay for surgery
There were winners, and there were losers. And there were also the people who won… and then lost the award.
It happens every year. Bars, taxis and kebab shops all over Auckland recover lost awards the morning after Axis. Some make it home, others are never returned. Perhaps next year they should go digital and put RFID chips in them, or a GoPro.
Last night one such award seamed to be propelled across the floor and under a table hitting the foot of Pond talent agent Angela Inglis crushing her pinkie. Unsure where it came from, she has now listed the award on Trademe in the hopes that the funds will cover reconstructive surgery costs on her toe and of course make it home to the rightful owner.
Bidding starts at $5. Closes next Friday. BID NOW

I witnessed that award been rolled the across floor… ha ha…
I wonder if it will be more expensive than an Ecoya candle?
the award actually has the name of the client, agency and campaign on it.
you could just do the decent thing and return it to its owners. Clue, their name will be on the side of it.
That Axis award deserves an Effie.
