Media Design School’s AdSchool students and graduates score Young Guns Gold and Bronze
Two weeks after winning the Student Axis, the class of 2013 continue to make all at Media Design School proud. On Friday, Ellie Jones and Avani Maan, received the news that they’d won a student Young Guns Gold. Not only that, Jones and Maan who are currently interning at Barnes Catmur & Friends, also found out that their idea for Getty, The Living Photograph Series, was one of only two Golds awarded to ad students worldwide.
Continuing the Friday night buzz, The AdSchool also scored a Young Guns Bronze for Red Cross Ready by Jian Xin Tay and Kiran Strickland, the team that won the DDB Scholarship internship. Ex grads also featured in the main Young Guns Awards with Ben Polkinghorne and Anna Stickley winning not one but two young Guns Golds for Amnesty International Trial by Timeline.
Says Nick Law, global chief creative officer at R/GA NY and 2013 YGA chairman of judges: “Clearly, the youngest in our sprawling, ever-changing industry are capable of a diversity of thinking and craft unimaginable 10 years ago. This year’s winner proves they are also capable of the sublime.”
