Ellerslie restaurant Mexico launches new outdoor ad in Remuera via Sugar & Partners New Zealand

A new restaurant called Mexico has opened in Ellerslie which borders the wealthy upper-class suburb of Remuera.
Sugar & Partners New Zealand has placed Adshels down Remuera Road, to suggest Remuera residents might want to treat their new neighbours with caution. Much like the Americans do.

Obscure. I wouldn’t have understood this without the explanation, and even then I’m still not sure what it means? Maybe some appetite appeal would help too.

You guys are thick. It’s not that firkin’ hard to get. Are you that unaware of general life??
Obscure and tenuous, not clever.
One doesn’t walk and will not be able to discern the logo from our Cayenne as one whizzes past . Even if we are in the bus lane.
Therefore it will appear to be an image of someone in the middle of a troublesome matrimonial dispute wishing to dissuade their former partner from entering the familial property. Or a P lab. Both or which are all too prevalent in our formerly pristine environs.
Also what or where is Ellerslie?

The only problem I see here is that Manuel et al lack the imagination to situate themselves in Remuera Rd when they see this Ad Shel.
I think its witty and spot on. And at least it hasn’t resorted to an outburst of cod Spanish phrases and would be Mexican names at the mere mention of Mexico (as I see most of the commentators here have done)
