The New Zealand-based renewable energy company has appointed Starseed to run its earned and social media strategy alongside Rainger & Rolfe for the nationwide rollout of their new solarZero plan.

Says Nicki Smith, marketing director of solarcity: “We were looking for a partner that shared our vision, enthusiasm and culture of inspiring change in New Zealand. Appointing Starseed has very quickly become the right decision. We’re all on the same page, ready to push boundaries and share ground-breaking innovations with the rest of the country.”

solarcity has created a solution for the 85% of Kiwis who want to go solar but have been put off by the upfront costs of solar panels. A first of its kind $0-down-plan, solarZero lets Kiwis purchase solar power without having to pay for the panels, installation or maintenance of the solar power system itself.

Says Maurice O’Leary, creative director, Starseed: “solarcity is an inspiring client with inspiring goals. We’re pretty damn excited to be working with a client that has a brave new sustainable energy solution. With solarZero the solar possibilities are mind blowing, it’s undoubtedly the way of the future.”
