Clems BBDO Wellington wins May’s Newspaper Ad of the Month for NZTA ‘Community Speedo’

Clemenger BBDO Wellington has won May’s Newspaper Ad of the Month with its NZTA ‘Community Speedo’ ad.  Judges agreed that “the placement of the ad in The Dominion Post was so big and bold, that it defied any reader not to stop and take in the urgency of its message.” 

No Special Mentions were awarded so this gives Clemenger 5 points on the Agency League table.

Judges were Mike Knight (Big Communications), Oriel Davis-Lyons (Colenso), Dave Bolton (Federation), and Kate Humphries (Media Design School).

The Ad of the Month winning team receive $250 and Agency League points for their agency, which are tallied on a league table to run from 1 July 2014 – 30 June 2015. 

Ad of the Month and Agency League also accept entry from newspaper digital ads, as well as newspaper print ads.  News Works’ Ad of the Month and Agency League competition is open to any ad that has appeared on a New Zealand newspaper website or app, or in any print edition. Both digital and print entries vie together for the best monthly accolade, with only one individual ad to be selected top each month – although judges may give special mentions to a number of exceptional ads.
