TV Presenter Jaquie Brown took on the challenge of playing each character, which was no easy feat.

Says Brooks: “The biggest challenge was gender-reassigning Jaquie Brown over the course of several months to get an authentic looking nuclear family out of one person. We started by shooting Jaquie au-natural, as the mum. That was the easy part.

“Then we harvested a ton of stem cells from the back of a reproductive testing lab, rolled back her age to a teenage girl and shot those parts of the scene.

“A shot of testosterone in each ass cheek swung her over to a young boy Jaquie. Reshaping her foo foo into a functioning wang was painful. You don’t see her crotch in the final cut, but it’s good to know it’s there…”

As well as winning Axis, Webby and AWARD gongs for commercials and Cannes nods for film, Brooks directs TV sketches for Jono & Ben and Comedy for Cure Kids.  A new addition to comedy specialists, Sunday Punch, Brooks looks forward to testing boundaries further in the coming months.
