NZDM-Awards-2015 jpeg (1).jpgThe 2015 NZ Direct Marketing Awards are now open and the Marketing Association is addressing the changing face of DM calling for entrants to submit the campaigns that define and shape the new possible.

The deadline for entries is 5pm, 23 October 2015.  An extended ‘late entries’ deadline of 5pm on Friday 30 October is available (at a nominal fee). Judging will take place throughout November and December with finalists being announced before the end of November. The NZ Direct Marketing Awards Night celebration will take place on Thursday 25 February 2016 at The Langham, Auckland.

The NZDM Awards, which encompass both the RSVP and Nexus categories, has, since 1986, recognised the insight-driven marketing projects and campaigns that connect with customers on an individual basis through a multitude of channels and generating outstanding results…. all of these add up to excellence in Direct Marketing.

Says Gill Stewart, chief executive, MA: “These awards are an opportunity for clients, agencies, suppliers and consultants to showcase their best response-driven marketing efforts over the last 12 months. In today’s world we now have the tools, the content and the channels to engage people in more exciting and more effective ways, and I look forward to seeing the great work getting entered and awarded in this year’s awards.”

Entries are accepted in a variety of categories – Industry sector and channel categories, as well as craft categories that celebrate the ‘art’ of the individual elements that contribute to the overall cohesiveness of a campaign. Entrants can also enter categories recognising the vital elements – strategic thinking, innovation, marketing tools and products or services.  The two special awards allow individual brilliance to be honoured: The Direct Marketer of the Year and the Keith Norris

Award for the Direct Marketing Organisation of the Year, celebrating the individuals and organisations truly committed to response-driven marketing, and past winners Ezibuy, Emily Blumenthal, Fiona Stewart, Farmers, Jo Reynolds and Westpac all setting the bench-mark high for this year’s entrants.

Entrants this year also can take the DM test at the ‘Is this DM’ website and find out whether their best DM efforts of the last 12 months have utilised the basic DM tenets successfully.
