Wellington Zoo promotes its interactive walk- through precinct with a campaign via Clemenger

Alaska.jpgVisitors to Wellington Zoo can now get closer than ever to many of its inhabitants with the opening of a major interactive walk-through precinct.

Clemenger BBDO Wellington has created a series of amusing fairytales around the opening of the precinct. The tales celebrate that we’re the only country in the world you can safely get up close and personal with local wildlife.

Says Karen Fifield, chief executive, Wellington Zoo: “‘Meet the Locals, He Tuku Aroha’ is our celebration of New Zealand and the amazing animals and plant life that live here.”

The opening of the precinct marks the completion of an exciting decade of development initiatives that have further cemented Wellington Zoo’s reputation as one of the world’s most progressive.

Canada.jpgSays Brigid Alkema, ECD, Clemenger BBDO: “The tale’s twisted predicaments and unexpected endings will appeal to lovers of Roald Dahl. In other words, almost everyone.”

The collection of curious little radio fables were produced by Flare, Clemenger’s in-house sound suite and production arm, with an accompanying trio of Wazjig-style posters illustrated by South African artist Jean-Pierre Le Roux of Arcade Studios.

You can visit ‘Meet the Locals, He Tuku Aroha’ at Wellington Zoo, from Saturday 24 October.
