Ogilvy Media hires Rachel Cormack as head of media; brings on Kim Leybourne + Wayne Miller
Times are changing at Ogilvy Media as the agency ramps up its expertise with a number of new appointments. Rachel Cormack (left) has joined the team as head of media, coming from a successful background of senior leadership roles in both New Zealand and Australia having spent time at MediaWorks and TVNZ heading up their Research and Insight divisions, and as general manager at Starcom NZ leading The Warehouse, TVNZ and Telecom (before it was Spark).
Cormack has already introduced two key appointments to her media team: Kim Leybourne and Wayne Miller, who provide an exciting point of difference because of their experience in, and outside of, traditional media agencies.

Leybourne (left) brings over 25 years of marketing experience from London, Australia and New Zealand. She has been responsible for strategic planning and implementation across a number of high profile clients in retail, FMCG, finance, government, pharmaceuticals and travel. Her most recent positions were as GM at Carat and MediaCom, as well as being the strategic lead on The Warehouse at DDB. Her new role will be leading the Countdown media business.
Millar (above, right) has held variety of senior marketing roles within Telco and e-commerce where he has been responsible for driving digital adoption and data driven thinking, so the transition into a full digital and analytics environment at Ogilvy is perfect. Over the years he has created some best-in-class UX platforms in the Telco and online retail space, worked across media and marketing strategy for a variety of companies.
More news to follow as the team work through Ogilvy’s reconstructed media business proposition.
