Kiwi agencies Colenso BBDO + DDB NZ score two winners each at the 4th annual Mashies
Colenso BBDO and DDB New Zealand have scored two winners each at the 4th annual Mashies, run by Mashable.com, held last night in New York.
Colenso BBDO has scored the Best Brand / Influencer Partnership for Amnesty Internationals ‘Amnesty Unblocker‘ and the Best Experiential Marketing campaign for DB Export ‘Brewtroleum‘ and DDB has been awarded Best Facebook Campaign for Westpac Chopper ‘Handheld Rescue’
and Best Use of Tumblr for NEON ‘Fargo Woolens‘.
Says Nick Worthington, creative chairman, Colenso BBDO: “The Mashies celebrates the world’s most progressive and successful social and digital campaigns. Naturally we’re thrilled to pick up two wins and four shortlists and to be up there amongst some of the best digital companies in the world.”
Says Justin Mowday, CEO, DDB NZ: “This is an amazing achievement for us, against some very tough global competition — including going up against Tumblr in their own category. To also be judged the world’s single best Facebook campaign is really special. We’re very proud of these two campaigns, and I think the results speak for the quality of the work.”
The Mashies are in its fourth year and celebrate the best in social and digital marketing. With only 22 awards given out overall and a maximum for four campaigns being shortlisted in each category it’s become one of the most hotly contested international award shows.
