Spark PR & Activate appoints Mediaworks’ Chris Lloyd to the role of head of content and social
Spark PR & Activate today announced it has appointed Chris Lloyd (left) as its head of content and social.
Lloyd was most recently the head of business development in the Mediaworks integration team. He has been responsible for cohesive campaigns across radio, television and digital and led award-winning work for clients like Heineken, Frucor and Vodafone.
A senior role reporting to Spark PR & Activate general manager Dallas Gurney, Lloyd will be working as the content and social expert for Spark PR & Activate as well as the broader PHD Group.
Says Gurney: “There is no shortage of content, there is a shortage of good content. Chris is a class act, but more than that he’s a content guy. He knows what will work and what won’t. It’s that level of confidence we can offer our clients – they won’t waste money on content that doesn’t move the dial.”
Spark PR & Activate offers a full suite of marketing communications including PR, activation and reputational management, but it’s the content and social media business that’s been growing at a frenetic pace.
Says Gurney: “Clients appreciate our approach. We don’t rip out with a camera and throw it up on You Tube. We strategise and plan. We make sure content and social campaigns can be measured and can be held accountable.”
Lloyd prides himself on his relationships and has a reputation as a great partner who works hard for his clients. He is looking forward to joining the team.
Says Lloyd: “I love content marketing and, after discussing the opportunity and meeting some of the crew, I feel ideologically aligned with the people and mission of Spark PR & Activate and the wider PHD team. I’ve worked with many of Spark PR & Activate’s clients before and am looking forward to building on those relationships and making some new ones along the way.”
Lloyd starts at Spark PR & Activate on March 27th.
