Colenso BBDO Auckland runner-up Agency of the Year at 2018 APAC Effie Awards; Special Group wins Gold and Silver for 2 Degrees ‘Data Hunt’

Colenso BBDO took out two Gold Awards for Pedigree ‘Child Replacement Programme’ and one Gold and three Bronze for DB Export ‘Bottled Sand’.

Special Group New Zealand won a Gold Award and Silver Award for 2 Degrees ‘Data Hunt’.

McCann Melbourne was crowned Agency of the Year while McCann Philippines took out third spot.

McCann Melbourne’s “Made Possible By Melbourne” campaign for University of Melbourne was awarded two Gold awards and three Silver awards plus the highly coveted Grand Effie while University of Melbourne took out Brand of the Year and Marketer of the Year.

McCann Melbourne and McCann Philippines’ awards contributed significantly to McCann Worldgroup being awarded Network of the Year, followed by Ogilvy & Mather and BBDO Worldwide. These Special Awards were given out based on the total calculation of points accumulated for each gold, silver, bronze and finalists.

This year’s awards gala was attended by some 190 marketing professionals from across the region. The jury awarded a total of 93 awards – 22 Golds, 33 Silvers and 38 Bronzes.

All campaigns that clinched metals and finalists will be accorded points towards the 2018 Effie Effectiveness Index, which ranks the most effective companies and brands globally.
