2018 Spikes Asia Awards: DDB New Zealand named runner-up Asia-Pacific Agency of the Year; BBDO takes out Network of the Year; Revolver/Will O’Rourke wins Spikes Palm

At the Spikes Asia awards presentation in Singapore BBDO was named Network of the Year.
BBDO won largely on the contributions of Colenso BBDO Auckland, Clemenger BBDO Weliington, Clemenger BBDO Australia, CHE Proximity Australia, BBDO Pakistan and BBDO India.
DDB was ranked #2, mainly due to DDB New Zealand’s strong performance (2 Grand Prix, 5 Golds and 10 Silver), and assisted by DDB Sydney and DDB Mudra in India.
Host/Havas, Sydney was named Agency of the Year, with DDB New Zealand ranked #2. Cummins & Partners, Sydney took out Independent Agency of the Year while Australia’s Revolver/Will O’Rourke scooped the Spikes Palm.
Says Justin Mowday, CEO, DDB NZ: “We’re incredibly proud of the result DDB New Zealand has achieved at Spikes this year. To be ranked the No.1 agency in New Zealand and No.2 across Asia Pacific region is huge. It’s been a big year for us and I just want to acknowledge the incredibly talented and hardworking team we have behind these winning campaigns, and the fantastic clients who’ve taken the plunge with us to create powerful work that drives growth for their business.”
