Loupe signs Lula Cucchiara and Dan Ahwa

A home to some of Aotearoa’s top creative talent, Auckland artist representation agency and production house Loupe Agency, has announced the addition of two new names to its growing stable after expanding its offering to encompass photographer/directors, DOPs, and stylists.

New to the team is Lula Cucchiara (above left), a multidisciplinary artist across both still and moving image. Having already worked with Loupe on multiple campaigns including Kathmandu and Jockey, Cucchiara’s official onboarding was a natural progression and signals more exceptional work to come.

Says Cucchiara: “It’s been awesome working with Loupe over this past year and I am looking forward to joining them permanently as they continue to grow and produce great work here in Aotearoa.”

Also joining Loupe is the agency’s first dedicated fashion stylist, Viva fashion editor and creative powerhouse Dan Ahwa (right). Ahwa has been a friend of Loupe for many years, and his signing formalises a long-term collaborative relationship based on mutual creative values.

Says Ahwa: “To have the support of Emily and the incredible team at Loupe is a really significant milestone in my 16 year career. Emily has a discerning eye which I admire, and for her to represent a stylist in the mix of her compelling roster of photographers is an honour I don’t take lightly. I am grateful to be in a position to enjoy the editorial work I do at Viva, but to also step outside that world and complement this with interesting, diverse, progressive freelance work supported by Loupe – who represent the very best in our industry – is exciting.”

Female owned and operated, Loupe is focused on representing talent that reflects their local community and is proud of its stacked roster of diverse creatives, aiming for equal gender representation within their team. This is a source of pride for founder Emily Moon, whose mission is to represent only the best creative talent while also championing inclusion within the business.

Says Moon: “I’m beyond thrilled to welcome both Lula and Dan into our team. Dan’s impeccable styling work and his relationships within the industry are unrivaled in Aotearoa, we are so excited to offer his skills and expertise to our clients. Lula is an incredibly talented photographer and director, we enjoy the energy and enthusiasm she brings to each project and look forward to producing some epic campaigns with her.”
