Special only New Zealand agency shortlisted for AWARD Agency of the Year

Special continues to fly the flag for kiwi creativity being named as one of six agencies from Asia and Australasia shortlisted for AWARD’s prestigious Agency of the Year title.

It follows Special being named Global Creative Agency of the Year by Campaign UK and New Zealand Agency of the Year by Campaign Brief – for the 3rd time in 6 years.

The shortlist is a ‘who’s who’ of the region’s leading creative agencies, both big and small, with Special being the only agency with two offices in the running.

The shortlist is: Howatson+Company, The Monkeys (Sydney), The Royals, Special (New Zealand), Bear Meets Eagle on Fire and Special (Australia).

Now in its third year – the entry-based Agency of the Year Awards are not calculated through a points-based system but instead are judged by specialist juries who give scores for each of the entered pieces of work.

Says Tony Bradbourne, founder, Special: “It’s great that Special’s efforts continue to get recognised at the highest level. AWARD is such a well-run and competitive event, it’s great to be in the running against some incredible agencies.

“It’s our ambition to be the best agency in the country, in every country we enter, so it’s really pleasing to have both Special NZ and Special AUS shortlisted. Special Australia’s work is that amazing mix of ambitious, clever, beautifully crafted and highly effective thinking, so it’s great to be in the running with the awesome Aussie team.”
